Additional notes:

How are the ratings calculated? There are two separate calculations for players: returning to A league after ending the previous season in A on a final roster, and all new players to A this season (draftees, dropping from AA, returning after a season break, etc.). All returning players are based on a combination of stats, both per game and totals, MMR, and a subjective rating survey filled out by selected players. Since there are no stats for new players, MMR is weighted more heavily and strictly, and the rating survey is the remainder of the weight. I tried to treat newer players' ratings like Madden rookie ratings, typically lower than the veterans that have last season's stats to go off of. The only way for non-returning players to have a high rating is to have a combination of extremely high MMR (close to the top of the A MMR range) and a very high average survey rating. Ratings will likely be recalculated for midseason and thus will bring up those ratings for players new this season.
